Turn left at the first stop sign. Follow the road. Go straight at the second stop sign, then keep left. You will pass the University baseball fields on your right. Look left, and you will see a "Welcome to the Headwaters Sanctuary" banner on our tool shed.
You can also enter University property along Hildebrand, drive around the UIW athletic complex, and reach the trailhead (marked in blue on the map).

On Fridays through Sundays, parking spots are usually readily available and no parking permit is needed. However, on Mondays through Thursdays before 7p.m. during the school year (August-May), a parking permit is required. You may request a parking permit or pass by contacting our office: (210) 828-2224 ext 232 or email. A permit does not guarantee a spot! If you visit on your own time without a permit, please know you are most welcome - but you are also responsible for any parking tickets, therefore, please contact our office.
