Did you know there is a habitat transformation underway in the Headwaters Sanctuary and adjacent properties? This brief presentation will provide an overview of current projects in this contiguous corridor. Discover how you can impact your neighborhood. Learn how you can volunteer. Our presenter, Cheryl Hamilton, is a certified Texas Master Naturalist, co-founder of the Balcones Chapter of the Texas Invaders, and The Village Habitat Project consultant.

Native Pollinator Plant Workshop

Milkweed and Butterflies

Learn about butterfly rearing in your home or in a classroom setting! This workshop will offer information about proper butterfly terminology, the benefits of butterflies in your garden, and the most desirable butterfly host plants for your garden spaces. Butterfly rearing cages (3 sizes: $18-$25+tax each) and native milkweed plants ($10+tax each) will be available for purchase!

Our presenter, Drake White, is the founder of The Nectar Bar. Ms. White is a Texas Master Naturalist, Native Landscape Certified, and the Phil Hardberger Park Butterfly Learning Center designer/project manager. Ms. White has spent the last six year raising various butterfly species while creating awareness for their needs.
