Picture Your World is a youth program for photography enthusiasts ages 8 to 18. The program encourages creativity and observation in nature. Carra Garza, program manager for Green Spaces Alliance of South Texas, will oversee the session.
Participants will explore the Headwaters Sanctuary around the Blue Hole, the primary source spring for the San Antonio River. The Headwaters Sanctuary is a beautiful historic preserve and a haven for native plants, animals, and city-weary souls. Picture Your World will provide digital cameras, photography instruction, and a guided hike with a Master Naturalist to maximize your educational experience.
Participants will meet in the Special Collections Room on the 2nd floor of the Mabee Library on the adjacent University of the Incarnate Word Campus.
The cost per youth participant is $15.00. Fee waivers are available for students who need assistance.
