Join Michael Nentwich, the first City Forester in San Antonio, on a guided walk through the Headwaters Sanctuary forest. The presentation will address forest diversity issues while noting some unexpected native tree species, environmental stressors, and plant succession expectations.
Mr. Nentwich Has more than 15 years of experience in community forestry management and program development. He has served as the City Forester in San Antonio and the City Forester and Bureau Manager of Parks and Urban Forestry for the City of Norfolk, Viginia. He earned a Bachelor of Science in environmental science and a Master of Forestry from Stephen F. Austin University. Mr. Nentwich is currently the President of Bexar Branches Alliance, a nonprofit dedicated to growing and managing the tree canopy to help build an ecologically resilient future for the communities they serve.
